Fiat Ventures exists to evangelize youth at a time of increasing secularization and a removal of faith from youth culture. Evangelization is the mission of all Catholics! Fiat Ventures is inviting recent graduates and other young adults to devote a year of service to this most important work through the IMPACT Apprenticeship Program. Apprentices will grow in experience and skills, be a part of transformative retreats, mission trips, and other events, explore if youth ministry is right for them, and perhaps launch a career as a Fiat Ventures ministry professional.

IMPACT Apprentices will work alongside Fiat
Ventures’ staff in all aspects of Fiat Ventures’
ministry– the planning, preparation and
administration of youth ministry programming
including parish “youth groups,” retreats,
Confirmation preparation programs, service
projects, mission trips, and more
- Typically, IMPACT Apprentices will be assigned to one or two parishes or other organizations in Central or Northern New Jersey.
- Apprentices will work with Fiat Ventures’ staff in the planning, preparation and administration of youth ministry programming including parish “youth groups,” retreats, Confirmation preparation programs, service projects, mission trips, and more.
- Apprentices will be integrated into the assigned communities, and will be involved in all aspects of the youth ministry programming, with an emphasis on outreach to the youth of the communities and their families.
- An IMPACT year will include training, mentorship, and formation, and Apprentices will earn a Certificate in Youth Ministry from Lifeteen and the Franciscan University of Steubenville.
- IMPACT Apprentices will gain experience in youth ministry, as well as transferable skills in the areas of public speaking, catechetics, organization, communication, teamwork, technology and other areas.
- Optionally, Apprentices can also choose to live in a single-gender household (usually with 3-4 other Apprentices) for deeper formation during their IMPACT year.
- Start and end dates are flexible. It is preferred that Apprentices are ready to begin their IMPACT year by September 1, 2022. The IMPACT year will generally end in early summer, after Fiat Ventures’ summer mission trip.
Program Requirements

Be 21 years old by September 2022 (or apply for
exception)
- Be a faithful Catholic in good standing
- Basic computer skills required; proficiency with Mac,
Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite and/or Social Media
preferred
- International applicants welcome to apply (must be
a fluent english speaker, and be eligible for
admission to the United States of America)
- Generally, applicants should also have a drivers’ license.
Stipends and Other Benefits
IMPACT is a volunteer program, and therefore no compensation is provided. In addition to an opportunity to serve Christ and his church, and gain unique and valuable experience, Apprentices will also receive:

Single-gender housing with 2-3
other Apprentices (optional)
- A monthly living allowance of $800
- A monthly health insurance stipend of $300
- A Certificate in Youth Ministry
(Reimbursement of relocation expenses may also be offered on a case by case basis)
